Finishing off May

Doctor's appointments and repairing broken "stuff" ended out our May.  It seems we made all our appointments for the doctor at the end of May.  The truck has a leak in the radiator, the lawn tractor steering bar broke, leak in the bird bath etc.  Nothing catastrophic but enough to annoy us.

The good news is that the weather turned hot! We did not have a "Spring" but went right into summer.  The veggie garden is planted along with the flowers.

The wood chuck is back in town

Loons are in the lake

Eagles are flying

On May 26th we got some heat!

On May 27th we had dinner with friends, Terry and Pam H, Lori and Larry M, Thad and Billie H, at Pine Brook Farms.  The food was all delicious, especially the pan fried walleye!

the farm is such a pretty and serene setting for a great meal and conversation.

The do have weddings here

May 31: We have not seen a bear on property in a few years.  This guy found our bird feeders while we were on our morning walk, then came back in the early evening for a snack! He looks to be a yearling, just being out on his own.

We ended the month by not getting any more life birds so we are still at 610, Year birds are up by 52 to 383 and we ended the month at a whopping 207!

  1. It took me awhile but I’ve finally caught up on reading all of your blogs. You will have to show me how to set up a reminder when a new one is posted, I can’t find the button. As always very entertaining and beautiful pics. Ray looks great, plus love his new place.
