April 19: yesterday was beautiful, today not so much. Rain, rain and more rain. We did spend the day spending money in Rice Lake. We stopped at all the stores, as we always have a long list when we get back.
April 20: a bit more rain but it did not stop us from our walk. Ran into a few neighbors, always good to catch up with what's happening on the lake..
April 21: Snow today! what the heck..

First of Year Bluebird in Washburn County
Sunday was a great day for a ride to Superior Wi and Duluth Mn. The sun was out! the wind was light, the temp started out at 29 and got to 46 by the time we left Duluth.
We pretty much owned the beach..Here we are all dressed for winter. luckily no wind! there were people with shorts on! and dipping their toes into the lake! who does that???
Our first ever Evening Grosbeak in the yard! These birds are "winter" birds so we rarely see them, but an eruption year pushed them pretty far south and now they have to fly pretty far north, making a stop in our yard!! We had them in the yard for only 2 days.
