A Bit of summer is still lingering in Birchwood for the first 3 days of October. It was a bit warm for a fire on Saturday night but we enjoyed it anyway.
Sunday Oct 1: we met up with Cousins Linda and Danny, Ed and Cathy in Hayward for a few hours.
Oct 7: Cranberry Fest in Stone Lake. We arrived at about 9:30, got a pretty close parking spot on Hwy 70

hoping this is not our final fire of the season.. rain forecasted next weekend
Sunday: dinner with Rick and Rita at Sunsets. Fun time with fun friends.
Monday: off to Superior/Duluth for one night. hoping to find a few new year birds. Hawk Ridge in Duluth Mn on Oct 9th
We did get 3 new year birds... It was kind of windy, but sunshine on Monday, the rain came on Tues morning, shortening our trip by a few hours.
Time to really begin, cleaning, packing, shutting down, winterizing etc..
Friday Oct 13: rain all day makes for getting inside stuff done!
Dinner with Friends: Rita, Rick, Pam and Terry at Pine Ridge for fish fry Sunday!
