Birding in Jamaica

Friday July 25, 2014.

had to get up pretty early (4:45) to catch the worm...  Our tour guide picked us up at about 5:30.  Kevin the Butler left us some bananas, muffins and sweets for a quick breakfast.

We only made two stops; the first was about 30 minutes from our resort at:

we hiked for about 2 hours, beautiful scenery and about 8 new birds.
if you look closely you can see the red billed streamer, with the long forked tail on the green leaf

seen this guy washing and getting some water
our guide found an almond and tried to open it... but it was too hard and her rock to small
bamboo graffiti
we also stopped at the river, but did not see any new birds. back to our resort by 10:00, still time to get a bit of breakfast then back to the beach.  after a small rest/nap it was time for the drink of the day, right after it showed up our butler showed up with a special drink...

When we got back to our room:

the water was very hot in the tub...  had to cool it down a bit first...

before dinner we stopped for a drink

Eric got us some Bob Marley's...  not the kind the guy on the boat was trying to sell him!

beautiful view from the terrace..

grilled marlin and red snapper for dinner..

all in all a very wonderful day.  but the rest of the trip is just chillin

tomorrow we have a couples massage...
