May's Birds and Wildlife

We walk about 3 miles every morning and 1-2 in the afternoon.  The birds have been slow showing up but have been seeing more migrants every week.

We did a bird tour at Crex Meadows, it was a fun day.  Although most of the tour was from the van.  Crex Meadows is pretty large and not really walkable.

A few of our yard visitors

We participated in the Chequagemon Nature and Bird Fest again this year.  It is based in Ashland Wi. We stayed again at Thompson's West End Camp ground in Washburn on Lake Superior.  The weather did not cooperate for the fest..  cold, windy, foggy and a bit of rain..  We did get one new bird!  we were not expecting any new birds.  As usual we had a wonderful time, met some great people and ate at some great restaurants..
