July 16: always good to be home but not so much for chores!
Watering plants, 13 plants under the pines
Binding carpet remnants
We have not smoked chicken in a long time, found a great recipe for Orange glazed chicken. It turned out Oh so good
Monday was so hot I pretty much stayed inside until late in the afternoon. Eric completed the carpet binding project, 4 rugs in total. They all look great. good day for computer work and cleaning closets. Tuesday looks to be the same!
Wed July 20 was our Pink Ribbon Fundraiser at Tagalong Golf Club. We had over 90 ladies in pink, wonderful day golfing, laughing and having fun.
Don't know what kind of Butterfly but it sure is pretty
July 21: our 33rd wedding anniversary! A beautiful day to spend on the lake. We got out there by 10 am, lunch at The Landing. The lake was pretty quiet as it is Thursday.
July 22: We spend so much time outside, especially since we put a TV out in the wood shed we purchased an awning. We had a bit of trouble installing the new awning on the wood shed but we conquered the bad instructions and are happy with the new addition to our outdoor living area. It took us two tries but we got it!
Yep we need a bit of shade
We made reservations for dinner at our favorite place, the Pine Brook Farm. It closed down last year, but are having pan fried Walleye once a month. We lucked out and got reservations for today.
A cocktail on the porch before dinner
July 23: Eric went with Steve G and Kevin P for a kayak ride down the Red Cedar River. Of course they had fun but did get wet from a bit of rain.
Our Crane Family hangs around by the Pole Barn so when they hear the corn shaking in the bucket they come out for a little meal! The baby is getting so big
I only have 5 surviving rose bushes out of 14 (over the years). I did buy a new one this year, that one and one other are the only ones blooming. The other 4 are growing but no buds.. So I am planting Perenials and the garden looks great.
Thursday July 28 was a cool day, good for outdoor chores and good for going to a new place for dinner. Bear Paw Resort on Lake Chetac, about 18 miles from home. Nice outdoor space, great food.
I had the grilled shrimp tacos with mango salsa, a bit spicy for me but oh so good
Eric's fried shrimp basket was also good with plenty of shrimp
