Coast to Coast and in between

Mon Dec 5:  in order to get on schedule with our upcoming trips we worked 3 days on and now we have 3 days off.  Today we headed West to Naples for the day.  A bit of birding at Eagle Lakes park

and of course a bit of shopping..  there is always something to get whenever we are in town.
Larry and Ruth pooped out from working all day...

Tues: we did not get moving early enough and got stuck in Mimai traffic.  Our 65 mile trip took us 2 hours and 40 minutes!!  We went looking for a few new birds but did not find them.  we have had record highs this week, and of course the humidity is very high.  but we are expecting a cool front on Friday..  In the mean time we just walk slow....

Wed: we stayed in the preserve, walking on various trails and a wonderful lunch at Triad in Everglades City.

I always see Owls in the trees..  but rarely is it really an owl..  just a knot..

Peg and Darrel Luce showed up!  we are not complete..  so glad they made it back, looks like we will be on the same schedule again this year.
