Our counterparts from last year Larry and Ruth Brooks are back too! A new couple from Pennsylvania, Gwen and Alex Savakinas are taking the spot that Gene and Glenna had last year as campground host. Alex is a fellow birder! Peg and Darrel are due to be back sometime next week.
We arrived to very hot and humid weather! But got back to work on Friday. It's like coming back home. No too much has changed, it was like we were not even gone.
Eric wanted to go fishing.. not for fish, there was a truck that had overturned on Tamiami Trl and a bunch of tomato crates went in the ditch. He had to keep an eye out for alligators!
After being in the desert my skin was soooo dry and cracked even though I was using body lotion, now after 4 days of being in South Florida my skin is back to normal. We are working on getting our routine in order.
few days off, time to get acquainted with our surroundings.
