Beginning of September and the colors are beginning...

A week later the boys lost their felt completely.

Eric's annual Guys weekend had pretty decent weather  The weekend generally begins with a great camp fire

Saturday was Rib Fest

of course some chores must be completed

before heading out on the lake

Of course that means I need to leave for the weekend.  I met up with cousins and friend in Wisconsin Dells!  

The first thing is to get the Fridge filled up!

there was a festival in Downtown Wis Dells.  Of course we had to stop here for a drink and a bite.

time to hit the wineries. Fawn Creek was having a 1/2 way to St Patricks Day party.  Great music, great wine tasting and great fun.

very large pretzel, was very good. Plus we needed some thing in out bellies after 12 tastings of wine.

Our second winery of the day, was a bit of a hike up hill.  The wine was ok, not as good as Fawn Creek.

It was time to have some dinner, we went to Moose Jaw for a nice dinner.

We had to have the hats!

We then headed to the casino, Anne and Rose did very well, Kathy and Kim left after 45 minutes with no money in their pockets!  It was a short but fun weekend with the girls.

On Tuesday we headed to Duluth to Hawk Ridge for the Hawk migration and to look for the elusive Black Backed Woodpecker.

We first stopped at Wisconsin Point in Superior where we did find a Parasitic Jaeger

it was a fun 3 days up north but we did not find any new birds.

Sept 22 we had large hail!

We were able to take the pontoon out for one last "summer" ride on Sept 24th.  Beautiful day full of sunshine and very warm humid weather.

Bird count for Sept:  life is still at 573,  we added 3 birds for the year 293 and the month comes in at 109!  the last few days we were able to add 10 birds..
