Thanksgiving 2017 (Las Vegas) and end of Nov (TX)

We flew from DFW to LAS on American Airlines.  Our flight was a bit bumpy but overall a great trip.  Nice salad for lunch, hot nuts and chocolate chip cookie made the flight seem to make it a faster trip than 3 hours.

We are again at the Tropicana Hotel in the Garden wing overlooking the garden and closed pool.

We met up with the Gaskill's and Castro's at Excalibur for Thanksgiving dinner at Buca di Beppo on Thursday afternoon.  So fun to see our friends and to receive lots of hugs and kisses.

Friday we went back to Excalibur for a buffet dinner (very good) and to see the Austrailian BeeGees. the show was very good, full of energy and lots of good music.

Our flight home was delayed by about 2 hours, mechanical issues in DFW, they had to change planes..  Our flight was fine once we took off.  American Airlines has decent food, beginning with the Hot Nuts, salad or stuffed pepper and again the hot chocolate chip cookie.    We had a wonderful time in the desert.  Luckily we had great weather, warmer than normal temps with little wind.

Tuesday we met up with cousin Debbie and her family at

Debbie and granddaughter Juvia

She is turning 2 tomorrow!  she was so good and so cute.

So some of the Hedge Balls were getting ripe under the RV, Eric decided to let them air out a bit, within 10 minutes one was missing.  We found this crazy squirrel eating it!

Wednesday we headed to Georgetown, TX about 170 miles south.  To a ACOE park, Cedar Breaks.  The park is nice, wooded with an OK trail.  Showerhouse is a bit old.

On Thurs we went hiking in the area where we found a nice trail with decorations...
