Home and Easter weekend

Tuesday April 9, 2019: We made it home before the snow storm hit our area.  We had one day to clean out the RV, put stuff away and shop for supplies, and a new fridge, just enough time to get what we needed to get done.  The house was is perfect shape, everything was just like we left it and all the vehicles started up. Our wonderful neighbors brought over some delicious carrot cake!

Thursday the snow began:

We ended up with about 7 inches of fresh snow.  Of course our lake is still frozen but the ice is not thick enough to go out onto.  We suspect that the ice will go out sometime the week of April 20th. Yep the Ice went out on the 20th in the afternoon! on our lake.

We got right back into our routine of Fish Fry Friday!  There are few new places we will check out this year.

Easter Sunday we smoked a ham that turned out perfect!

I did try to smoke Deviled Eggs but I need to do a bit more experimenting with the recipe.

Our new fridge came on Monday. The old one had some issues and it did not match the stove!  Of course the Microwave and Dishwasher don't match now either..  Next years project will be to replace them.

Two days in Superior Wi. On the way up to Superior we found a new walking path.  We have been looking for this tract for a few years, finally found it in a magazine with directions!  On the tract was a graveyard for dogs.  We are assuming they were all hunting dogs as this is a prairie chicken spot.

We stopped for a wonderful burger at the Choo-Choo in Superior.  the food was great but the clientele was loud and obnoxious!  

The Lake (Superior) still had ice on it.

Our first day was sunny but the second day was misty and overcast...  Great time in Superior. Great new hotel in Superior.  Too bad we only had one night but dentist appointments and weather dictates our plans.
