Home Sweet Home

It is always good to be back home.  We would prefer to have the temps be a bit warmer but no other complaints.  We are required to self isolate for 14 days.  Not really a problem as we have a few projects and chores to do around the property.  We need to reacquaint with our deer friends and of course feed and watch the birds. The lake needs looking after, so does the yard and gardens.

I have over 55 hours of recorded programs to watch (Eric does not watch these programs), closets to clean out, work on the gardens and a fun puzzle to put together

As we walk the property we find that we had visitors while we were away.  Our beaver friends spent a lot of time on our shoreline.

Friday Fish Fry is something we miss when we are away, sure we have fresh shrimp, cerviche, grilled fish but nothing like a great walleye and broasted chicken fish fry.  One of our favorite restaurants Pine Ridge has carry out!

Complete with fabulous cole slaw, fry bread and baked potatoes.  It was a nice welcome home!

Working in the gardens is difficult when the weather is so cool and cold. Well at least for me, the cold weather does not affect Eric as much.

At least most, but not all, of the snow is gone. Our sandhill crane is back along with our turkeys and deer.

As of April 23, I have not been down to the lake.  Eric says it looks good.  The cold wind keeps me up top.

On our walk on the Ice Age Trail we found an airplane!  It has been there for a very long time, but why is it there?  You never know what ya are going to find on a walk through the woods.

Tuesday April 28, we completed our 14 days of isolation!  Rainy day, good day to do some shopping.  We have a long list of "stuff" to get at Menards and Marketplace.  We filled up the truck today.  About 75% of people were wearing face coverings.  Not sure why the other 25% did not.  Guessing they don't care about their neighbors.

Final day of April, we put the pontoon in the water and took a leisurely cruise on our lake.  Beautiful afternoon to just hang.
