Holiday Weekend etc

Our new Kowa Binoculars finally arrived! I ordered them on April 29th.  We had to have them dropped off at a Fed Ex location as they can not get to our house until 9:00pm and it seems that their policy is if they can't arrive by 7:30 (and the package needs a signature) they can not deliver it.  The new ones are a bit bigger 10.5 X 44 and heavier but oh so nice...

and with shorts on!   We wear our bandanas just in case we run into anyone, so far its happened 3 times since we have been home.

Dinner too!

We were able to get out on the pontoon on Sunday afternoon.  77 deg, sunny and light breeze.  All the neighbors were out too.  We were able visit from a safe distance with all.  Normally they all go out into the the big lake and we float all by ourselves on our little lake.  COVID-19 certainly has changed our lives in many ways.

Eric's sister went to the cemetery and sent us pictures of their parents grave sites at Fort Snelling.

Unfortunately Edie's was a movie so I can not post but it is on the back side of Lloyds.

The tomatoes and peppers were planted in the garden then we got about an inch of rain.  Warm temps and a bit of moisture sure makes the garden come alive.

We sure got a lot of rain this week.  3.5 inches in the rain gauge.  Good for the plants and grass.  I don't want to jinx our fruit output but... it looks like our pear trees might produce a 1000 pears!  the most we have had in the past is 3-4 per year.  We will see...

Lilacs are blooming too.

Eric and Steve G went to Scott J's place in Hayward for a kayak weekend.  A bit cool, but great fun.
