Swamp Walk

Monday March 14, 2016:


                                     Swamp walk in the Big Cypress started by seeing this guy


                           Starting out with wet feet.  We are headed to the tall trees in the background


                                      Through the high lands in the swamp (knee deep)

       
                                Survivor man

                                         
                                        Notice the small cypress in the shallow water

                               
                                      The bigger cypress grow in the deeper water (Thigh deep)


                                       Finally to the gator hole (waist deep)


                                          Luckily, no gators or snakes in the gator hole.  Later in the
                                          spring the gator hole should have 10-20 gators.

    You are very brave. I wouldn't go in that water, no matter what time of year. There just might be a gator or a snake.
