Sunday we met the Gaskills at the trolley for our Naples tour
the tour lasted about 2 hours, it was very interesting with a great guide.
We stayed in the area of Tin City for lunch and shopping. There was an Art Fair happening in downtown. No purchases were made but we enjoyed the paintings, sculptures etc... and it was a beautiful day to be outside.
for our evening adventure we took a catamaran sunset cruise.
Eric thinks this would look good for a firs day out on Long Lake.
We sat on the front, they did bring us pillows to sit on, that helped..
we passed many large boats and homes on our cruise.
Eric showing off his teams (NCAA Basketball) win..
This boat's name is Beer Money. PBR money, Eric has contributed to the purchase of this boat!
the winds were high, thus the waves were high. We did not go out into the gulf, our view was wonderful
somone was surfing
we can not get enough of beautiful sunsets.
Monday was our final beach day, not sure when we will be on the gulf again...
Tues, our final final day in Naples. Eric and I headed to Corkscrew watershed for a great walk, we seen a lot of birds.
and a raccoon:
Spoonbill with Ibis
Little Blue Heron
Green Heron
Great Egret in full bloom
baby alligator with a rock? on its head.. not sure if it was a shell or rock or something else.
After grocery shopping we headed home. Because of a wild fire they closed 60 miles of Hwy 41. We told them we were working and living at Midway Campground. They did let us go past the roadblock. The fire is about 30 miles from us but the smoke was really bad on the roadway.
It makes for a beautiful sunset
