Winding down

Our time here in South Florida is getting shorter.  We have been working on our route home, making reservations at RV campgrounds in Florida and Alabama.  I still need to make reservations for Mississippi, assuming once we hit Illinois we will not need reservations.

While doing laundry last week I found these birds

a Red Shouldered Hawk

and about 50 Purple Martins, they are really noisy..

Mitred Parakeet in Miami

Friday night we had "stone" soup night.  Peg made a chicken base and everyone else brought a can of broth based soup to add to the pot.  The soup turned out really really good!

Glenna is in the pink, she was here hosting last year.  We meet the most wonderful people

Mack (3 months old) really wants to play with MaKenzie (8+ years old).  MaKenzie was not having that!

we took a walk on this trail in the Everglades, lots and lots of mosquitos!

Once we got out of the wooded area, the mosquitos were a bit better.  beautiful coastal prairie landscape.

We did take a kayak trip on Monday to finish our final day off.  Great weather continues...
