Wed March 29 we are back in Tallahassee at the same RV park. It is conveniently located near I10 and good walking area near by. Unfortunately we did not have an uneventful 287 mile ride from Lakeland. We blew a tire on the RV about a mile from a rest area. We limped along until we were able to get to the parking lot.
It added about 45 minutes to our trip. After getting set up we headed to Camping World for a new tire. Hope to pick it up on Thurs.
After leaving Camping World we went for a wonderful walk. Its about a third of a mile from our campground. It was pretty hot (87) and humid for 4 pm walk but we were in the woods and not subjected to the sun. We needed a good walk to stretch our legs and clear the mind from the tiring day. Publix fed us some wonderful pork roast and potato salad. Quiet night...
Thurs March 30 We spent the day at St Marks National Wildlife Refuge where we found 62 birds, no new ones... always hopeful.
Redwing Blackbird getting a drink then flying around looking for insects
Eastern Towhee
Mouse!!!
we went back to Camper World to pick up the new mounted tire, Eric then put it back on the RV, placing the spare back under the RV.
Tomorrow we head to Spainish Fort, looking forward to seeing Kim and Fred Galan!
