Spanish Fort Alabama with Friends

March 31 We left Tallahassee at around 9 am.  We went back to Meaher State Park near Mobile Al where we met our friends Kim and Fred Galan!  We have not seen them for about 1 1/2 years!  It was like we just seen them last week, so nice to just be able to pick up where we left off.  After setting up and catching up we headed to Ed's Shed for shrimp and grouper dinners.  It was all good.   Kim had a wonderful desert for us when we returned to camp.

March bird count: 569 life thats 2 new lifers, 194 year increase this count by 32 and 157 for the month.  not too bad.

April 1:  After a wonderful walk around the park where the blackberries are huge!

we all headed to Fairhope, a small town about 30 minutes from our place.

After a big lunch we had to go for a walk,

a very relaxing evening spent with great friends.  Unfortunately we have to head west and they are headed east!   tomorrow we go to Jackson MS.
