We had a wonderful Caldo de Mariscos (Seafood Soup) that was very delightful, a little spicy hot of me but oh so good. A small place in Port Isabel right by our HEB. For $10 a bowl we could have just ordered one bowl as it was very big and filled with fish.
Jellyfish? we are assuming it is dead, it was very big. We were hoping to get it identified but no luck.
it is a lot bigger than Eric's shoe! It was there the next day, wonder what would have killed it?
Rosetta Spoonbills flying over head have really gotten very very pink! When we first arrived they were mostly white, assuming they are eating a lot of shrimp or mating season.
Texas Indigo Snake! These snakes are a favorite of Texans, they eat rattlesnakes.

He was quite long and slithered in the brush
Look at that rattle! There are 11 rattles, some say you can tell the age of the snake by how may rattles it has but others say that is an old wives tale. Whatever, it was pretty big.
We went to Bensten Rio State Park and within 15 minutes we got a new life bird: the Callipoe Hummingbird! time to celebrate! We really lucked out this time, sometimes we go back 4-5 times before we can get it.
the beer was pretty good too.
Burrowing Owl getting a little fresh air, we don't normally see them sitting out but it was pretty warm that day.
Red Eared Turtle walking across the walkway, not sure if they are up to lay eggs?
Very Blurry but a bobcat on the left side of the tree right across from the RV. The neighbor had his dogs outside in a caged area. They did not make a sound! The cat walked back and forth a few times along the edge of the yard.
Back to work today, March 14, almost time to get moving, can't believe we are thinking about going home already. We have our "Exit Interview" next week. Hoping they allow us to come back next year....
