Working hard??

Sunday Jan 10, 2015:  We had a visitor sleeping under our RV this morning.  It was a female Pit Bull.  She was very calm and very skinny.  The camp host has a dog,  he used his leash to get the dog, was not hard as she came when called.  Law Enforcement came to get her.  They will feed her and probably keep her.  They said that Pit Bulls are not allowed in Miami and was probably dropped off.  Except for being underweight she looked like someone had put money into her, she was very well behaved, nails were sanded, clean coat..  hope the guys can keep her or find her a good home.

The remainder of the day was pretty uneventful expect for the Packers winning..  We had a fire to celebrate Peg's (camp ground host) birthday.  Temps still warm, and dew points in the high 60's.  A/C still on..

Monday Jan 11: It is so cool that we turned the A/C off this morning, I had to wear a scarf, jacket and gloves for our morning walk..  The sun finally came out warming up a bit.

Our campground hosts had a 2 hour meeting this afternoon so we filled in while they were gone.  Pretty uneventful 2 hours..  Although it does re-enforce the fact that we don't like hosting.. too much time sitting waiting for people to show up.

Tuesday means laundry day!!  Rain again and now cooler temps.  We keep hearing this is the Dry Season.. hmmm... must be El Nino effect.

Wednesday:  another cool overcast day.  Actually its great working temperature, although the sun would be nice.  We took a ride along the "Loop" trail.  It is about a 24 mile loop, the water is a bit too high to see wildlife.  We did see some birds and it was a nice ride.  Next time we will wait for a sunny day.

all in all not a hard week of work.  we are really liking our 4 days on and off routine.  Our volunteer compatriots are such a fun group.  One host couple will not be back next year, we were asked to take their place... NO..  we really don't like the host job..

rain and cool temps for our days off.  might have to find a casino!
