Our final full day in Birchwood! we were awoken at 5:45 as the generator tried 5 times to kick on. the power had gone out! It did kick on the 5th time, it was soooo cold
The power came back on at about 8:30. I feel for those workers.. So glad we finally got the generator last spring...
Headed into to Rice Lake for a bit of shopping and to get out of the house for a bit. By the time we got back home it was 1 deg above zero! time to begin cleaning and shutting down the house.
He cut down a tree by the lake, it was in the way of the new docks...
I was going down to check on him and get a picture but he was on his way back up!
The temp did get up to about 7 but the wind came and felt like -11.. too cold for me to hang outside, not sure how he does it...
Yes, Eric is ready to get back to the warmth too! We leave the house tomorrow at 6:00am for our flight to Tucson.
It was a fun 2+ weeks, a bit too long and a lot too cold but glad we came for both the Birding Fest and the Birkie. Should be back here in 7 weeks or so....
Glad you have returned to warm Arizona. Wisconsin is no place for snowbirds in the winter!
