Heading home today!

Friday Feb 6, 2014.   We are heading home for about two weeks.  Flying from Tucson to MSP.  The weather today in Tucson will be 84 or more degrees.  In Birchwood it will be about 20!  What are we thinking?  Well, we are going to the Sax-Zim Bog Birding Fest near Duluth MN this coming Thurs-Mon, then Eric will be skiing the Birkie from Cable to Hayward on the 21st.   We will return here to Tucson on the 24th.

One of the reasons we took this year off from volunteering was to go to the Bird Fest and the Birkie.  Although we are really enjoying our total freedom and moving around the Southwest.  I suspect that if Eric wants to ski next year he will be going home alone..  (I really really hate the cold).

We love the Duluth area, looking forward to some good fried chicken/walleye, seeing friends, winter hiking, seeing the winter birds, hot saunas and of course campfires.
