Thanksgiving in Las Vegas

We had a great flight from Atlanta to Las Vegas.  We got to the airport parking in less than 30 minutes, got through security in less than 20 minutes so had about 3 hours to kill at the airport.  Our flight was a bit long just over 4 hours but we had movies and a wonderful lunch to keep us distracted. My head cold is still hanging on, had to bring a box of Puffs on the plane.  For medicinal purposes only I had a glass of Jack Daniels Honey Whiskey, it helped me sleep on the plane....

We stayed at the Tropicana in the Paradise Tower.  Nice room on the 7th floor.

Dinner this year was at Lawry's on Flamingo, Roberta had the Turkey,

John,  John and I had the prime rib

we also celebrated John C's 75th Birthday..

Dinner was fabulous.  We are so fortunate to be able to spend Thanksgiving with close friends.

Friday morning Eric and I went birding at the Henderson Bird Preserve.  Fun morning although pretty cold.

Saturday was Museum day...  temps pretty cold high of 50 for the day but sunny

this was a good museum too, but very crowded.  would have been better if we could have been there alone!  Since we were downtown we had lunch at D.

A lady in the elevator at our hotel gave Eric and I tickets to see Rock Vault at our hotel...  it began at 8pm, we were not really interested in going but thought what the heck...  well it was pretty fun, very loud and the two hours went by real fast.

Sunday Spa Day!  I went to the spa for a facial and new hair style

we met up with the gang for the last night in town..  good times talking and laughing.

Monday Nov 30   we head back to Atlanta to continue our journey to South Florida.... Our flight back to Atlanta was pretty uneventful, only 3 hours but the same food as we had on the way out..  it was good.

Bird count for November  Year count is up by two to 372  month count at 130!  it helped that we were in Illinois, Tennessee and Georgia but mostly Las Vegas added to our monthly count.  Hoping to get our year count to 400 by Dec 31...
