Mississippi

Nov 3, we headed about 115 miles south to Grenada MS to the North Abutment COE campground on Lake Grenada.  Some hiking in the general area in around the lake.

Since we are in Mississippi it must mean we have to have Catfish!  We went to Jake and Rip's restaurant in Grenada.  the Cat was wonderful, just the way we like it, sweet with corn meal coating.  Eric had pretty good shrimp with his Cat.

Our weather is still unseasonably warm.  with beautiful sunsets

Nov 5 We headed to Lake Lincoln State Park near Brookhaven MS.

no swimming...

A bit of hiking around the lake.  We went to the Homochitto National Forest for a bit of hiking.  Nice lake and hiking.

On the way back home we found a peanut vendor on the street!  Jumbo boiled peanuts!  they were very very good and jumbo sized!

tomorrow we head to Bayou Segnette State Park near New Orleans, LA.
