Thanksgiving weekend in Palm Springs, Ca

It just so happens that Palm Springs was our Thanksgiving destination.  Roberta and John Gaskill drove in from the Phoenix area early so we were able to spend the early afternoon with them at our place, then Eric spent part of the afternoon at the pool.

We met up with them and Kathy and John Castro in Rancho Mirage for our annual dinner.

Our dinners were wonderful!

Friday: we met at the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens, wonderful place to walk around, beautiful settings and animals.

 A Honey Badger
 lion sculpture

 part of the gang
 kudo
 giraffe

 black crested crane
It was such a fun day...  Eric went back to take a rest while we headed to the Date farm and Garden to get some delicious dates!   a little time at the local casino then dinner at Babe's BBQ.  It is a repeat from last year.  good food..

Saturday:  we went to Brother Ray's for cocktails before going to Sherman's for dinner.  He has such a beautiful place and is such a great host!

Sherman's was very good, then a quick session at the downtown casino...  not having any luck!

Sunday:  The Gaskill's headed back to Arizona.  We picked up Kathy and John for a visit at the Palm Springs Air Museum.  we were there for about 2.5 hours.  so much to read and see.

John spent 3 years on this ship!  how cool is that!  A couple from Wisconsin made the replicas.

it was a fun relaxing day.  A brief visit to our place then dinner at a local Mexican restaurant.  It was sooo good!  It could be a repeat!

We are so thankful for such wonderful friends and family.
