the day turned out beautiful and warm enough (81) to wear a tank top and shorts! first time in a long time, felt good.
we have a really nice spot;
took a long walk around the park and into town. We will be here for 3 nights.
Tuesday March 24: headed to
we took a 4 mile hike, found the "Golden Cheeked Warbler"! We tried to get pictures but.. they are flighty birds! but oh so pretty.
back to camp for a time out then off for dinner:
the brisket was oh so good. I am not a brisket fan but highly recommend it!
the creamed corn was fantastic and the beans were fabulous! great food!
Wednesday March 25:
we headed to
we hiked about 3 miles
it was a beautiful park and a beautiful day
could not get across the river!

Eric had to get into the water! 82 digs and a bit humid
Dinner in town at
very very good Catfish and shrimp and green beans and cole slaw!
tomorrow we head to Buchanan Lake, about 60 miles.
All caught up now.. Wonder how long it would take me to eat that pistachio??
