Burnet, Texas

Thursday March 26, 2015.  We headed about 60 miles north to Big Chief Resort in Burnet on Lake Buchanan which has an enormous Dam!

We were going to stay at Inks State Park but they were booked for the weekend.  this is a nice place too!

Friday March 27:  today we headed to

with the rain and warm temps the flowers are blooming!

beautiful evening, no wind, warm and quiet!  Inks State park was totally booked for the weekend!  335 sites, they were filling up when we were there hiking. so glad we are here!

Saturday March 28:  headed to

we were looking for a Vireo but found this Golden Cheek Warbler!

an old homestead.  a bit small for Eric and a bit exposed to the elements for me!

Time to save the world one beer at a time!

                                      

 I got the wheat beer, Eric got the sampler.  It was all good!

tomorrow we head about 100 miles north.
