Back in Lakeland

Sat Mar 26, 2016:  back in Lakeland for 8 nights.  It took us about 5 hours to go 203 miles.  The trip was pretty uneventful which is a good thing.  We are at Carefree Rv Resort near I 4.  Mostly seasonal and permanent residents.  Nice pool, hot tub and park. We are on the lake, or what they call a lake, more of a pond.

We went to Publix grocery store, it was about 3/4 miles away!  vs the 37 to 45 miles it was when we were in Midway.  After a bit of shopping we headed to Downtown Lakeland for dinner at

The Shrimp and grits were oh so good.

Eric's shrimp, oysters and catfish were fabulous.  all fresh seafood, not frozen. We might have to break a rule and return later this week.

This cute guy is actually a tree wrap on the tree... we have lots of trees to wrap...

A great travel day followed by a great dinner, doesn't get any better!

Easter Sunday Mar 27: Hot and Humid!!  wow, the dew point is in the low to mid 70's.  Headed to Lake Hollingsworth for a 3 mile walk.

After a nice walk on to Eric's Aunt Jane's house.  Visited awhile with her before a great lunch at a local restaurant.  Today was our last 90 degree day until July??  We enjoyed it immensely. We should have gone to the pool one last time but we didn't...

Sat: Our final day in Lakeland. This mornings walk at

it was getting ready to rain so we were only able to walk for an hour or so. We did hear a low grumble/growl.  Think it was alligators, we did see 3 wild hogs but they make a different sound.

When the rain began we went back home, waiting for the rain to let up before one last visit with brothers.  Dinner at Smokey Bones.. pretty good ribs

We did not make it back to Harry's, until next time....

on our way to Tallahassee
