Sunday Jan 4: We (Eric, Kim and I) began our day with a 3 mile walk in the desert. Kim went into the Labyrinth to ring the dong...
Eric went ski/skating while Fred, Kim and I went for a walk around the resort. Its a pretty big place with so many things to do. After a soup lunch we watched a little football then headed to the pools.
time for more football
while Fred watched the game, Eric, Kim and I went to play a little desert golf
well Kim was actually our caddie!
in the desert you have to groom the greens!
beautiful sunset:
Kim made dinner which we ate off of the back of the truck! Koren BBQ and rice, was sooo good.
Time to walk off dinner, we went to a bonfire to howl at the full moon then to the poker room
then to play shuffle board. Fred had an amazing shot to win the game. (luck not skill!!!)
We had such a great day with great friends. We are so lucky to be here to enjoy our friendship.
Monday Jan 5: Kim, Eric and I went birding! Yes we got Kim to go with us to:
Eric is picking some dates for Kim to taste
we found this beautiful oasis! what a surprise! and so beautiful
we could have walked for a few more hours but it was time to pick up Fred for lunch. We ate at the Buckshot restaurant in Niland. then headed out to site see.. Our first stop was Salvation Mountain
Eric and I were here last year so not too many pictures. A ride through Slab City before stopping for a beer at Ski Inn in Bombay Beach.
time for a nap, grilled hot dogs and shuffle board. Fred and Kim won again! but we had a wonderful moon rise!
Another wonderful day in the desert.
Tues Jan 6: Kim, Eric and I went for a desert walk in the morning we did not see many birds but did see a flowering cactus
time for the pool, we got there just in time to participate in the Aqua Zumba class. The guys bowed out of the class, but Kim and I had a wonderful time!
Lunch at our little restaurant then a bit more pool time before heading home for Taco's
You might be a redneck if your table is the back of your truck!
After dinner we headed to TNT (Tuesday Night Talent) Show. There were about 8 acts, some not bad others bad.... but they got up there on stage, all in all it was a fun night.
