Our drive today was 14 miles, not far but needed a place to park for a month.
We had to take a temporary spot as the people in ours needed one more day. Not a problem for us, we have an appointment at Camping World for new tires tomorrow morning so need to move the rig anyway... they were going to put us in another spot but when I told them about our appointment they gave us a free night in an electric only spot. The owners (Kathy and Jerry) are soooo nice.
There is an asphalt path right behind our park. Time for a walk.. we ended up walking about 1.5 miles to a wetlands (where we have birded before) where there was a pair of Trumpeter Swans! what a treat.
our favorite intensely fragrant tree: the Huisache tree which is a native of Texas...
We walked around the park for awhile before returning to our park. a bit of grocery shopping then off to the Tucson Mall! have not been to a mall since Palm Springs before Christmas. another treat! found some stuff to buy then dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. I had a most delicious Red Raspberry Martini.. and Shepard's Pie, Eric had the Chicken Teriyaki and brown rice, both dinners were good. Took a couple pieces of cheesecake home to eat while we watched some TV..
Thurs: We wanted to replace the inexpensive tires on our RV with Goodyears. We tried before we left home but could not get anyone to install them! Camping World was willing to sell them to us and install them too! Of course it takes a few hours so we went to a local park..
found this wrangler chasing a coyote!
this is our spot for the month! Glad we are settled in for a bit.. even got the satellite TV working in no time flat!
suppose to rain for the next two days! Might be watching a lot of TV!
Can't imagine living in a tent for a year....
